SPRING 2025 AUDITIONS

The LowKeys are thrilled to be holding Spring Auditions!

We have special interest in lower voices and vocal percussionists this cycle, but all voice parts are more than welcome to audition.

Please read below for logistics. We’re so excited to meet you!

Preliminary AuditionS

SAT, 2/1 & SUN, 2/2: 7-10pm

Memorial Hall Basement (below Annenberg)

Our prelims are meant to be friendly and low-stress! The LowKeys view the preliminary audition as an opportunity to introduce themselves and get to know your voice. We will first do a short range test and pitch matching exercise. Then, we will hear your prepared solo (details below)!

Singers, we ask that you prepare a one verse & chorus solo that best shows off your voice!

Beatboxers, we ask that you prepare a 30-45 second demo of your skills.

Callbacks

During the week of 2/3-7, we will hold two nights of callbacks. During callbacks, we will ask you to prepare solos from our repertoire, as well as learn a few of our block parts (the vocal backing that the group sings behind the soloist). Information about the solos will be provided in emails when you receive your callback, and block parts will be taught during the callback!

Do I need formal training or musical experience?

Singers of all musical backgrounds and experiences are invited to audition for the LowKeys. All we ask is that you come to auditions with your preliminary solo prepared and a positive mindset! We look forward to meeting you.
