Preliminary auditions 2019
Saturday, September 7th: 1-3pm in Lowell Lecture Hall
Sunday, September 8th: 1-3pm in Lowell Lecture Hall
Monday, September 9th: 7-11pm in the Smith Campus Center Arts Wing
Please come prepared with a verse and a chorus from any song of your choice, or show us some beatboxing! We will also take you through a few quick vocal warmups and exercises. All levels of experience are welcome and encouraged!

First Year A Cappella Jam on Saturday, 9/7: Sanders Theatre, 9pm
The Harvard LowKeys typically hold auditions one to two times a year: once in the fall and once in the spring. Each cycle of auditions begins with preliminary auditions. Singers: we ask that you prepare a verse and chorus of your favorite song. Beatboxers: we ask that you prepare a 30-second long demo of your skills! Additionally, we will lead you through a series of vocal exercises to gauge your range and sense of pitch. We'll also have a good time and get to know you!
If you are invited to callbacks, we will teach you how to sing a few of our block parts (the vocal backing that the group sings behind the soloist) and hear you solo a bit more over the course of the week. That's it! Come to auditions confidently, show us what you've got, and you can have a shot at joining the LowKeys family!
