The Harvard LowKeys typically hold auditions one to two times a year: once in the fall and once in the spring. Each cycle of auditions begins with preliminary auditions. Singers: we ask that you prepare a verse and chorus of your favorite song. Beatboxers: we ask that you prepare a 30-second long demo of your skills! Additionally, we will lead you through a series of vocal exercises to gauge your range and sense of pitch. We'll also have a good time and get to know you!
If you are invited to callbacks, we will teach you how to sing a few of our block parts (the vocal backing that the group sings behind the soloist) and hear you solo a bit more over the course of the week. That's it! Come to auditions confidently, show us what you've got, and you can have a shot at joining the LowKeys family!
